Karen Morris is a New York State licensed psychoanalyst and is certified by the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP Certified Psychoanalyst, NCPsyA). She has worked in the field of addictions for many years, including the federally funded Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) program providing psychotherapy services for HIV+ New Yorkers with substance dependence. She is a member of the International Federation for Psychoanalytic Education (IFPE) and a published poet. As a co-founder and co-director of Addiction Recovery Therapy, she conducts private practice in Manhattan.
